The Pipits: tentative pelagic trip on Georgian Bay

Hello Pipits!

I have been speaking with a fellow by the name of Mark Calhoun, who runs Into the Wild. We are planning a pelagic trip (a trip by water) to visit Limestone Islands Provincial Park in September.

This Park is restricted access from May 1-Sept 1, due to the sensitive nature of the wildlife there. There are a number of breeding colonies for several species of birds on these islands, which is the reason they are restricted access.

It is a beautiful place, and during fall migration, might reveal some interesting migrants!

The date of the trip would be Sunday September 14. It would leave from Parry Sound area.

The details are still being worked out. The cost per person would be about $200. This would cover the cost of the boat.

We have room for 5 participants.
