Nuc of Swarm Bees?

I lost most of my oldest hive during the last month. There is simply not enough bees to build a colony this spring and summer. I am hoping to do the wet newspaper between the top super, and the nuc in the honey frame for however many days for them to introduce themselves as "cousins of the family".

So, if you could help me, I would be grateful.
