I want to share this thought with everyone as it sometimes happens to us. If you have strong hives and not planning to multiply and increase the hive numbers at your location, you cannot really split them. By not splitting you are increasing the risk of swarming which is not good for bees or for your neighbours.
I have plenty of space and hardware for splits. I can help you do the split optimize your colony and move the unwanted bees from you to my hardware and apiary. All the frames involved in the brood split will be replaced with new ones, so your materials will not be lost.
I’m willing to help if needed with the splits on a range of 10-15 miles from Fremont. Berkeley is too far for me.
I’m sharing this as another potential benefit for the bees and collaboration between all of us.
Bee Happy!

Hi Cristian!

I’m in Oakland and my bees have already swarmed 3 times that I know of! Would you be willing to come out and help me?  I have an empty flow hive that would love to have a colony.

Let me know when you have a second.  Thank you!
