I’m amazed that the Trumps left beekeepers on the payroll.

Everything is ok and for sale (including pardons) as long as kickbacks are given.

I feel sad I posted this. I thought it is interesting and will bring smiles on your faces, but instead all I hear back is something else.
I like the WH model hive,  somebody really worked hard to make it, and I’m proud that there is “White House signature honey”

It is sad. Your intent was to share something interesting for your fellow beeks and those who did comment didn't see your intent and rather chose to make disparaging remarks. It does not always need to be political. C'mon folks... Let's be grateful someone (your peer) cares enough to share something interesting to add to your day. ☹️

I found the article interesting. That's why I said in a comment that it was a good thing then. I remember when the Obama's where in office Michelle Obama was an advocate back in 2009 for having a beehive on the premises. I'm glad there still continuing it.

I hear that but it’s also hard bc this administrations policies around issues that directly impact bees (and all pollinators, animals and people) in increasingly negative ways (incursion into protected land, stripping of funding for open spaces and preservation, declassification of, and hiding of the use of pesticides) makes this seem like a really empty gesture. Positive pollinator exposure is great but not if it’s only superficial.
Thank you for sharing and I also welcome the critical lenses with which people view it.
Please keep sharing on all accounts.

Don’t let anyone negativity affect you!
You cannot control their feeling nor should you try, when weower ourselves to their level , then we are no different than these clowns . .
Beekeepers are supposed to be open minded .
