Message:

Greetings-  I represent Western Hills Water District, in Patterson, CA.  I am their Physical Security Coordinator.  We have recently had some Bee Hives abandoned on our property.  The hives appear to be in fairly good condition, (no bees).  Before hauling them to our local dump, we wanted to see if there were some people who might be interested in the hives.  We are not asking anything for them, (free hives), just that they are hauled away and go to a good home before we haul them to the dump.  Please feel free to contact me regarding this, (408)674-9557.

Thank you for your time

Be careful about abandoned bee equipment. Bee boxes should be thoroughly scraped and torched. Used frames should be disposed of. Take used frames only from beekeepers you know and trust to not share American Foulbrood with you.
