One job I hate is replacing wax foundation in the frames once honey
has been extracted.

As a result, I have some groddy frames ready for someone to replace
the foundation.

13 super frames
2 or 3 deep frames
4 imperfect pieces of thick construction foam for insulating the tops
of your hives, approximately 1/2 or 1/4 size, not full length sheets.

Sitting outside across the street from my house at 7325 Chabot Road,
Oakland. Free for the taking. There are no houses across the street,
just unfenced Cal Trans property. First come- first served! You needn’t
coordinate with me, but once the frames and foam pieces are gone,
I’ll let you know.

I+ mile east of College Ave at Chabot Road.

Hi Philip--

I've used something like that on boxes, but the smaller wood frames, and presence of combustible wax made me think I'd just burn up the frames. Can you say more about your technique?

I let the flame pass over the frames in all areas quite a few times but never held it long enough in our spot to melt.
