The Facilities team at a Coca-Cola bottling plant in San Leandro reached out to me today because there are bees visiting their high fructose corn syrup pump and they don't know what to do about it. I told them they need to eliminate the leaks or the bees are just going to keep coming back. They said that there are sometimes thousands of bees visiting (god I hope they aren't mine! 3 miles from my bee yard). I also told them that if it was a leak that could not be fixed, perhaps they could screen in the whole area. At least this would keep the bees from getting to the food source and they might give up and move on, but I suspect they would keep coming anyway as long as they smell the syrup. Anybody else have any creative ideas that might help these folks? I really think they just need to fix the leak.

Bees must like caffeine. 🤓
