candle kit

I'd like to start making candles with my accumulated scrapings. Are there plans to expand the candle kit? Can someone point me to the right person to borrow it when its available? Thank you!

Hi Phillip,

Expansion is actually in process! I’ve just ordered half-a-dozen new molds based on voting from people who have recently been using the kit. They will be merged into the current kit with 18 molds.  What t time to be alive!

Somebody is using it now, and somebody is waiting for that, but I’ll put you in the queue after him!

Oh in the future, feel free to email can...@alamedabees.org — it forwards to me currently as the curator of the kit.

Wow. 

Thanks Dan for updating the kit!  I am so excited to see the new additions. Here is a shot of my candle creations from last year. The morell mushroom was a big hit!  Sold out of those fast. I'm grateful the club has this resource to offer our membership, and I can't wait to trash the kitchen again this year, hahahah!

You just motivated me to look into it. I have soo much decapping wax I do not know what to do with it.

Dan and ACBA officers -

I’m so excited to have new molds for candles! I’ve been collecting my wax for five years and can’t wait to use the molds (of course waiting my turn 😜). 

Upgrades & expansion of our loaner equipment is a key component of why I love our club. Why would all of us buy equipment when we can share it?

Thank you to the folks who volunteer year after year and continue to make improvements for our members.
