Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know of a company that provides technical support for Tesseract ?  Please share their contact information.

In theory Google adopted the project and develops it since 2005 or something like that.
Not sure what kind of technical support you're referring to. Most of the quiestions you have could be answered here on this mailing list and this is how most of us get by - a lot of searching the web - tesseract repo's wiki, stack overflow and this mailing list.
If you are a big company and want to develop something big and pay for technical support - contact google, the project is now theirs, but in reality it is open source and I'm not sure how interested they would be. Anyway give it a shot.

By the way, your question could be answered with a simple google search, any place with an article for tesseract starts with a "history section" where they explain the project started during the 90's at HP then got a bit abandoned and in 2005 google bought it and opensourced it and stuff.

Bojidar - Google isn't going to provide support for 3rd party use of a project that they've open sourced.

Sumant - There are a number of developers on this list who've used Tesseract in their own applications or created custom OCR solutions based on it. One or more of them may be willing to help if they've currently got availability, but you haven't given much detail about what you need - full application development (what language/platform?), image pre-processing pipeline, training for new fonts/languages, general question answering, etc. If you state what you need and ask developers to contact you, you may find one (or more) who meet your needs.
