Tesseract's support for sinhala language

Hi all,

Does tesseract supports sinhala language (its not in the list) ?

and pls tell what are the steps to add support to a whole new language in tesseract. pls help me. :D

I may be quite late to post a reply here; but recently I found out that School of computing of  University of Colombo has developed a beta version of Sinhala OCR based on the tesseract 3.01
