to tesseract-ocr

I am getting this error while training tesseract using image1:

APPLY_BOXES: boxfile line 3/0 ((117,8),(161,87)): FAILURE! Couldn't find a matching blob

But when I train using image2, I don't get an error. I have trained using image2.

Does the background have to be white and the text black? What is the reason of this?
