Need help for Hindi output

Good Day, (1) I have a Windows Vista based machine (2.)downloaded latest Tesseract 3.02.02 (3.) downloaded language files - tesseract data Hindi (4) wasn't recognizing anything so copied files from tessdata including trained data etc. to directory with tesseract-ocr executables (5) getting an output text file after a lot of chugging but it is garbled roman characters - guess unicode output in Hindi is not getting through. (6) would appreciate any help - Thanks

You can try using vietocr for it.

Please see http://sourceforge.net/projects/tesseracthindi/files/OCRHindi_using_VietOCR_and_Tesseract.pdf/ for instructions for the same (about one year old).
