Building Latest Tesseract From Source on Mac Sierra

Hello,

I'm trying to build Tesseract on Mac with macport running Sierra.

I got the source from

git clone https://github.com/tesseract-ocr/tesseract.git

However, I get the following error after ./configure

checking host system type... x86_64-apple-darwin16.1.0

./configure: line 4237: syntax error near unexpected token `-mavx,'

./configure: line 4237: `AX_CHECK_COMPILE_FLAG(-mavx, avx=1, avx=0)'

Could someone help please?

You need to install autoconf-archive  for testing  mavx and msse4.1
