Can not recognize white foreground texts.

Hi, I do use my friend's translate app https://github.com/yasirtug/ni-translate, it has OCR feature and it uses tesseract, this is my tesseract --version output tesseract 4.0.0-beta.1 also I have Xubuntu 18.04 . I was trying to use it on some manga pages (I added below) and I could not make it tesseract recognize it. Thanks in advance.
