Information Regarding Tamil OCR

Hi,

  This is sumit. I want some information about tesseract Tamil OCR.

Actually i have some Jpeg images which are captured from tamil language documents. Now i want to make searchable pdf from these images.

 My few questions are :

1. what is the accuracy of tesseract.

2. how much time it will take to process an images (A4 size or less).

3. what is the minimum and maximum font size it require.

4. what is the input file properties and type.

5. what is the licence process and how much price for a single user.

The accuracy of Tesseract varies depending on a number of things,
perhaps the most important being the quality of the scans. In
general it one of the best OCR engines around.

That depends on the speed of the computer. Likely a bit less than 10
seconds.

Tesseract is free software licensed under Apache 2.0. There is no
cost, for any number of users.
