Training new fonts for Tesseract 3.0.5 version.

I'm so grateful I finally got Tesseract working a few days ago. I have received great support, and I immensely appreciated it. I newly want to test a new font (Ubuntu, Inter) not yet recognized by Tesseract 3.0.5. I have seen many tutorials online but only addresses training using the LSTM engine, could you help me with a tutorial for training using version 3.0.5? The reason why I'm using 3.0.5 is that the main purpose of using Tesseract is to get font properties that are only available in 3.0.5.
