Help Reading Math Equations

I'm trying to use tesseract to process writings on a chalkboard. Is there a tesseract library or extension out there that I can use to process math readings better. Or maybe, I'm doing something wrong myself when trying to read my image.

Any ideas as to what I can do to improve the performance?
