Noob problem with Tesseract

Hi,

I'm newbie with Tesseract. I have read the official doc and downloaded the tesseract-ocr-setup-3.02.02.exe.

I put the following command line in my cmd:

tesseract Serial1.TIF out

And it returns this error:
Empty page!!
Empty page!!

I have read in some forums that Tesseract returns this error if the image is blur or something like that, but I think it isn't my case.

The problem is that you have no margin around your text. Try reducing the size of the text so it has some black margin around it.

You're right. I have added a padding to the image and tesseract works.
