Configuration in linux got error

I am getting error while configuring it in linux

./configure --enable-debug

checking for g++... no

checking for clang++... no

checking for C++ compiler default output file name...

configure: error: in `/home/azureuser/ocr/tesseract':

configure: error: C++ compiler cannot create executables

Looks like you do not have c++/g++ compiler on your system.
