Preprocessing Tools

HI shree, Is there any tools associated with tesseract that we can use for preprocessing the images? Please advise

Tesseract uses leptonica for image processing. You can use any image software that you are comfortable with for pre-processing.

You can use free applications like paint.net or GIMP for single image processing or code your own pipeline with OpenCV in Python or C++

We do use openCV to do the pre process steps

1.Re size

2. Binarisation

3. noise removal

4. de skew

5. border removal

It works like a charm

Reg resizing: Do you resize all images to a specific size before feeding into tesseract or do you only resize (smaller) images that are below a threshold size
