what are the important parameters

For Tesseract there are so many parameters that we can tune (those parameters we get with command 'tesseract --print-parameters'). But what are the important ones? Especially when you are dealing other languages than English. Is there a more detailed description for us to understand these parameters better? I've found those start with 'edges_' matter quite a lot because changing them will result in change of the segmentations.
