Unable to get conversion from colorful odia pdf

Hi, this is Sailesh

I have been trying to use tesseract for extracting oriya test from pdf, it is working fine will black and white pdf, but is failing when a colorful pdf is given which also contains images.

Can anyone provide me some insights.

Maybe try gray scaling the input images before running it through the tesseract.
