Greetings. I would like to ask if tesseract can recognize images mixed with text.

Tesseract has not layout analyser, OCRopus is more fit for that.

While some people think OCRopus has a more sophisticated page layout analysis, it's not true that Tesseract does no layout analysis.

The man page describes the different types of segmentation that it does:
