Before embarking on developing OCR solution for Gaelic and Irish
language text and font, I wonder if anybody had attempted anything
like this?

I believe there is now an Irish-language module.
I am starting to look at training tesseract to recognise cló-gaelach type like this sign
Has anyone ever done this before?
