Beginner - problem with size

first let me start off by saying thank you! thank you all for the hard work that has been put into tesseract its really neat. i attached the image and the pdf output what is weird to me is that the pdf is super small. is that normal, if not where can i look to figure out more on it and make it bigger? 

using to convert orig jpg to tiff goes in and comes out same size:

convert -quiet -level 0%,77% -normalize -monochrome 2018.10.4.sprint.3rdgr.pssa.results_1.jpg output.tiff

then running

tesseract output.tiff outputtiff pdf

using mupdf, libpdf in qutebrowser and tried in firefox also all the same size pdf.

i tried diffrent tesseract options but nothing seemed to deal with output size.

Try the -resize options from imagemagick:
