Setting up Tesseract Desk

I want to use tesseract in one of our product. From long term view, I want to make sure that i 

will be able to maintain it at our end, if so required in future. Hence, I want to setup a working 

desk of tesseract with source code. 

I followed all the steps provided in tesseract github help, but getting the errors..

I tried on visual studio but it was not build successfully due to some header file missing.

I also tried on cygwin but i stuct during installation of autoconf.

To my mind it should have been a pretty straight forward task, but I am struck for more than a 

week now.

Can anybody please help me on this.

Try cppan and cmake installation instructions for windows/ visual studio.

Have you tried the instructions using cppan and cmake given in https://github.com/tesseract-ocr/tesseract/wiki/Compiling under windows.

I tried it but i am getting error when i run cmake command.For reference i attached error file.

Just updated the client. Please, try again with the new one.
cppan --self-upgrade
(or update manually)
Then use your usual commands.

Is your 'cppan --version' 0.2.4? Did you check it?

Also try to clear all project files (cmake files) and cppan storage files (c:\users\u\.cppan\storage). Maybe this helps.
