text2image: No such file or directory

I am following https://github.com/tesseract-ocr/tesseract/issues/1453 for tesseract 4.0 learning.
I am using macOS mojave.

All was good until i tried 'text2image --list_available_fonts --fonts_dir=/Library/Fonts'.

o/p i get on this is '-bash: /usr/local/bin/text2image: No such file or directory'.

Any leads on this?

Does  /usr/local/bin/text2image exists? Did you installed text2image/training tools?

Hi Zdenko,

To your first question : No, /usr/local/bin/text2image does not exist.

To your 2nd question : I suppose text2image is installed along with icu4c, i have not installed text2image explicitly. Correct me if i am wrong, also let me know if there is way to install text2image explicitly.

During the build process, did you

make training

sudo make training-install

what platform are you using?

Yes shree, i did both these steps, infact i am following https://github.com/tesseract-ocr/tesseract/issues/1453 .

make training

Should build all the training tools including text2image.

If you don't find them, there must be some error causing them not to build.

Check the log from the build process.

Make sure you have the correct version of Cairo and pango and ICU libraries.

You may want to uninstall existing version of tesseract, make clean and then rerun the build process.
