Hi 

My tesseract version is as follows:

tesseract --version

tesseract 3.05.01

 leptonica-1.74.4

  libjpeg 9b : libpng 1.6.32 : libtiff 4.0.8 : zlib 1.2.8

When I try to run the command it gives me this error:

num_edges_ > 0:Error:Assert failed:in file dawg.cpp, line 338

Kindly help.

Possibly incorrect version of traineddata file. From where did you download it?
