pdf output example for tesseract (.Net)?

I'm not sure where to find info about how to output (searchable) PDF from the .Net tesseract lib.

It is my understanding that the latest version has the ability to output PDF directly, and I'd like to try that.

My input is typically image-only PDF (so as a different topic, I'm looking for a good way to pre-process the pages to Images for tesseract), so we're talking about multi-pages in case that makes a difference.

Any links/tips/sample-snippets are much-appreciated!
