Recommended channel for Terraform community support

Hello guys:

This is my first post, so I hope someone can help me with some guidance. I've noticed that there's a Terraform's Google Group (this one, actually) and there's an official Hashicorp forum for Terraform (https://discuss.hashicorp.com/c/terraform-core).

Is this Google group an "unofficial" community support channel? Between Hashicorp forum and this google group, which one is the preferred one for asking/answering for help about terraform? Is there another popular place where people ask for support on terraform?

Hi Angel -

Good question! The hangops recommendations are definitely good ones unofficial community support.

Since we introduced the HashiCorp Community Portal in June, we're encouraging folks to centralize questions there. As mentioned in that post, you'll see us de-emphasizing Google Groups like this one for discussion.

So the best place for getting a question answered by a HashiCorp employee will be the Terraform forum you linked.
