Hi Team,

At the meeting Rich mentioned his idea of renting a Team house in Montreal for the UCI road world's this September 20-27. We have started looking and think we'd probably better book something soon or it's going to be difficult and expensive.

I did some looking on airbnb and it looks like in Montreal proper we would be looking at $4000+ and most are apartments.  Across the river to the southeast,  in the suburb of Brossard, things are cheaper and we'd have a  backyard and,  perhaps crucially,  more parking. It's just over 10 miles to where the road races start, mostly on bike paths.

Here's the link to the best house I found, considering price (around $2500 for the week), sleeps 12 (7 beds/5 bedrooms, 2 baths), parking for 4 cars, gets great ratings.

It says an hour and 6 minutes but they obviously don't realize how fast we are!

Please let us know if you are interested and how many nights you think you'd do.

Schedule is:
Sun. 20th: M & W Elite TTs
Mon. 21st: U23 M & W TTs
Tues. 22nd: Mixed relay TT, M&W Jr TTs
Weds 23rd.: Training on Mt. Royal course
Thurs 24th: W U23, M Jr RRs
Fri. 25th: W Jr, M U23 RRs
Sat. 26: W Elite RR
Sun. 26: M Elite RR

Let us know what you think. It would be a great time. Some of us were at the Richmond Worlds in 2015 and we'll never forget it!

Best,
Jim

I’m TBD but will probably do a ride and view (2 races as we travel back and forth) trip to Tremblant with some NJ buddies who have a place up there. It’s 1.5 hours north of Montreal so we’ll likely go up thurs and catch the jr race en route then back Sunday and catch the male elite RR. But that’s all tbd!

Hi Everyone
Jim: I’m definitely interested, and would probably prioritize seeing the two elite road races (staying  a week is tempting but probably not in the cards).

Thanks Bryan, let us know when you know and we'll see if there is space left (if we do it, that is).

Best,
Jim

Definitely interested as well, but still trying to get to Europe to watch Patrick race. At the moment he’s scheduled to race in Romania the week before Worlds, but he won’t know for certain until August. Hard to make plans!

Definitely understand,  Brian,  and hope he gets to go and you do too. If not, we'll see you in Montreal!
