Planning for 2020

Hi Sailors,

I hope you enjoyed the sailing season.  I have already started making plans for 2020 calendar.  However, I would like to recruit someone to become the new Div 6 Commodore.  My reason for this is that I have been doing this for many years.  And would like to allow someone else to do it to help disseminate and also bring in new blood into leadership.  I am willing to work with whoever would like to do this to be sure that the various duties will be upheld and there should be no concern with learning the job.  I plan to record a detailed list of duties and timing in a document we can store on-line.

The Div 6 Commodore Duties:

> Set sailing calendar by January.

> Be sure Vice Commodore (properties) and Treasurer positions are filled.

> Work with the three fleet commodores to manage insurance and dues.

> Insure insurance is purchased on time.

> Manage communications and oversea regattas.

> Help promote events and see that details are communicated and posted.

> Manage misc matters as needed.  

Qualifications for being commodore:

> Some cat sailing and regatta experience.
> Loves cat sailing and wants to see organized racing continue in Texas.

> Organized and will be able to manage timely duties.

Please consider if you would like to help promote Catamaran sailing in Texas.
