Hello, I would like one of my tasks not to run (or stop running) if Android Auto is active on the car dash.

How can I make this?

Tnx!

Use the AutoNotification Intercept State (not Event). Let me know if you need help with that :)

Thank you for your contact.

Join: connect multiple devices (send pushes, remote SMS, notifications) on Android, Windows, Mac, Linux
Tasker: customize/automate anything on your phone!
AutoApps: add advanced functionality to Tasker via plugins

Yes, please: I can't find that entry in within "Select State Category" box

  • Make sure you're on the Profiles tab
  • Create a new profile
  • Select State > Plugins > AutoNotification > AutoNotification Intercept
Does this help? :)

Is it this one

Isn't it possible... for free?? :-)

You could use the native Tasker Notification event but it won't tell you when the notification is gone...

So you're saying the only thing we can react to is tha notifation?
Isn't there any other state to test? Such as "Android Auto app open"? Or... "Screen cast to dashboard"?

If the headunit is rooted, you could use a run shell action with the command; "pidof <package name>". If the app is either in the foreground, or background will return a process id (pid).

Thank you!
