missing read media images permission

Pixel 6 Pro with Android 14 and Tasker v 6.2.22.  When editing a task and click on an action, then hit the ? icon to view the help file, I receive the "missing read_media_files_images permisions.  I've tried using ADB to enable that permisson which was not succesful.  Then I tried Taskper Permissions app and allowed All Tasker Permissions.  Still did not work.  If I go back tot he Task Edit screen and click on Userguid, that works.  In Android settings, I do not see those persmisions.  Are the ? help files saved in a different directory from the Useguide?  Would reinstalling Tasker fix the problem?  I don't want to lose my current settings, profiles and tasks.  How do I correct this error?

I should also add that when the error pops up, it also states opne settings now to grant it.  I click OK but nothing happesn.  When I tehn try to open the file I get "can't check help files without file permissions.

Does it help if you go into Android Settings > Apps > Tasker > Permissions and check the permission there?

I tried that but that permission is not one of the choices.  I wonder if anyone on Andoid 14 has that permission showing up in settiings?

BTW, absolutely amazing app!

I am not sure if it is the same permission, but on my Galaxy S21 with Android 14 I can see the permission "Fotos und Videos" (German).

I've had to give media access to Tasker and autoshare via ADB.. Maybe try that?

Giving Tasker the Photo & Video permission worked fo me.  Thanks.

ADB did not work.  I just granted Tasker the Photos & Video permission, will see if that corrects the issue.
