Hello everyone,

I am not sure if anyone is having issues with doing a Google search on the Mac. I found out on Applevis.com that Google updated the way their search page looks and they added some images embedded to their headings. so when we use Voiceover and jump by headings, all we get is the url of the bwebsite. There are a few issues between Apple an Google, but I thinnk it is more Google’s fault.

So, I got tired of all the clutter we have to navigate through a Google search engine, so I tried something else. I tried Duckduckgo, and i absoutly love it! You can install the extention on Chrome, or you can change your default for safari. You don’t have all the clutter like Google is putting on their webpage.

Hope this helps, enjoy!

Yes, I am experience this as well. It’s really annoying. I don’t know what or if there is a solution. I have not tried Chrome to see if the same thing occurs.

If you want to look more into it, on Applevis.com there was a discussion on that. Also, on Windows based, the issue is not there. I have switched to Duckduckgo and love it!

Do you still have connections with Apple to bring this issue up?

It’s been reported to Apple. I don’t know why the titles of the headings are not being read. It’s driving me crazy though.

Interesting…
The URL is wrapped in a <cite> tag within the <a> or link tag. After the Cite tag, is the H3 tag with the text we are used to seeing in Google searches.
If you interact with the link, you can see both the Cite and the H# information.

I don’t know if this is a new structure, or why when we ask for a H3 VoiceOver is also providing the adjacent Citation information.
