I am new to Taiga.io and just installed it on a self-hosted ubuntu 14.04 server today. After installation, I went to the IP and it prompted me to log in to my Taiga.io account (which i find kind of weird for a self-hosted installation anyways, but ok). I tried to use the register button on the page, but after entering the details, hitting the register button had no effect, so I went to the website and registered an account successfully. I then attempted to use those credentials to log in to my self hosted server with no effect. Any ideas?

Any help is appreciated. Also, why do I have to login to an internet based account if my server is self-hosted?

Hello!,

Something is very wrong in your installation if you are prompted to log in in tree.taiga.io, if you are using your own self hosted instance your credentials are totally independant from tree.taiga.io. Your instance could even live without any external internet access.

What installation method did you follow?, if you are having problems with the initial installation I suggest using one of the automated methods -> http://taigaio.github.io/taiga-doc/dist/setup-alternatives.html (if you have a clean ubuntu 14.04 server probably taiga-scripts would be the best option).

Regards!,

Hello!,

Did you check your installation logs to see if something failed?, if you can't login with admin/123123 it seems that the database wasn't correctly populated.

Could you follow the instructions here -> http://taigaio.github.io/taiga-doc/dist/setup-production.html#_setup_python_environment (section "Populate the database with initial basic data") to create the admin user and check if something is wrong?.

And I don't find how to create an user manually.

I have the same problem. I installed Taiga with the script automated version, but the "Sign in" button doesn't work, and admin 123123 or admin admin or admin password neither. Can you help me ?

Hi,

I am experiencing the same issue.

I am running a Virtual Box fresh Ubuntu 14.04 server. The box was created a few days ago on Hashicorp, so I'm assuming it should be updated, but I'm not certain as to whether Hashicorp includes the updated packages in the boxes. Anyways, after booting into the server, I ran the Taigo setup script and it ran successfully. When I direct my Host browser to the IP Address of the Guest, I get to the Taigo login. When I click sign up, the registration page appears, however, after I enter in my credentials and click register, nothing happens. Admin and 123123 doesn't work either.

Please help! I really want to use this software!

A few days ago there was a problem with the ubuntu images, I found a problem in the ubuntu server when vagrant try to install python3-dev

https://github.com/taigaio/taiga-vagrant/issues/20

Remove the vagrant box and try it again from the beginning

Hi David,

This worked. I destroyed the vagrant box and created a VM from within VirtualBox, then updated the system and ran the Taigo scripts. I have registered an account and am about to use the application.

Thank you!

Kind Regards,
Jordan
