Hi,
I'm new to Taiga (and new to this group) but we're widely enjoying Taiga!

We are using permalinks to task, but they're this way:

https://tree.taiga.io/project/<my-username>-<project-name>/task/1

I'd like to remove my username from that URL.

I've been googling for any help, but I didnt find any idea about this.

Is it affordable?

Thanks in advance
Regards
Manuel

Hi Manuel,

Now all projects in taiga have an slug to generate the project url (taiga.io/project/<project.slug>). This slug is a mixin of username + project_name (in the futere, when we have organitation, it could be organization_name + project_name). This slug is not editable because if you change it all the entries in timelines would break.

I can do this change and regenerate the timeline for all project members if you send a mail to sup...@taiga.io from the email adress of the project owner with this information:
 - project name
 - current project slug
 - desired project slug

David-

How would you recommend doing this on self-hosted instances? I am not using tree.taiga.io but do want to remove a username from a project slug.

thanks!

Hello Gordon,

You could use the django admin area to change the project slug.

Alejandro-

Thank you for your response!

I also found another way to do it:
1. Create a new project (set up fields, statuses, attributes, etc.)
2. Export (using the built-in functionality)
3. Edit the JSON and do a find/replace on the project slug text value
4. Import (using the built-in functionality)
5. Delete old project
6. Proceed as desired! :)

Easy!

Gordon

Hello, you can write to sup...@taiga.io with the details of the slug you want to update and we will do that change for you.

Regards,

2018-03-19 1:48 GMT+01:00 <nader...@gmail.com>:
Has an easy solution been created for this yet on the main taiga.io platform?

The url slug has my username in it and I don't want that. How can I change it to just include the project name or perhaps <organisation>/<project name> ?

Kind regards,

Nader
