Let me start by saying just how good this product is OUT OF THE BOX; kudos to all at Taiga.io, our team will be using it exclusively.

One thing that we are all saying "IF ONLY IT..." about :);

wouldn't it be great if you could give the tasks a POINT burn down value.

Currently we might have a story that has 11 points if which DESIGN = 2 and FRONT = 9. DESIGN has one task so, on completion it burns down the 2 points.

FRONT has two tasks with Task 1 = 6 points and Task 2 = 3. It would be fantastic if we could allocate 6 and 3 respectively to Tasks 1 and 2 and, if Task 2 is completed it burns down 3 points, leaving 4 FRONT points left.

Perhaps there is a way to do this OR a reason why this is not considered. Would love to know.

We love using Taiga and thank you.

Cheers

Hello Tony,

Thank you very much for the feedback and for using Taiga.

Taiga follows the standard scrum practice about it considering story points as a high-level estimation of the complexity (made before sprint planning). It's conceptually different from the task-hour that just measures the the total effort to complete a user story. This article from the Scrum Alliance reflects the actual Taiga point of view about it: https://www.scrumalliance.org/community/articles/2012/august/story-points-versus-task-hours

In this article you can find the Taiga alternatives to include points at task level (https://taiga.io/support/why-is-there-no-time-tracking/)

There is an open enhancement request to include points at task level (https://tree.taiga.io/project/taiga/issue/3027) I've just included your comments there, you can upvote this issue in Taiga to raise its importance.

Regards!,
