Help Explosing my self-hosto over Ngrok

Hi Everyone. First i would like to say that i'm loving Taiga abd it's a great software.

I did the docker instalation on Windows, using the WL2 with a Ubuntu Kernel.

Taiga works alright. But i want to be able to test from outside the network, so i tried to use the ngrok and pointed it to the 9000 port. When i access it the following error appear:

"something happened and the taiga has captured the error to be able to work on it"

I saw in the conversation that the developer team uses ngrok, so i was wondering if i can get some guidence on how to make this work, please.

Hi Guilherme,

if your server is accessible through someurl.ngrok.io you just change localhost:9000 for this url in the docker-compose.yml file (variables TAIGA_SITES_DOMAIN, TAIGA_URL and TAIGA_WEBSOCKETS_URL).

I've never tried it but I think it should be enough.

Hi Mr. Barragán. Thanks for the answer. Didn't work, not sure if i did right.

I created the tunnel for localhost:9000, then went to the composer and changed tha variables and load the docker images again, like shown below:

TAIGA_SITES_SCHEME: "http"

TAIGA_SITES_DOMAIN: "http://49c7-2804-7f2-2a8c-1e1a-501f-7b2a-1d8d-6d97.ngrok.io:9000"

TAIGA_SUBPATH: "" # "" or "/subpath"

TAIGA_URL: "http://49c7-2804-7f2-2a8c-1e1a-501f-7b2a-1d8d-6d97.ngrok.io:9000"

TAIGA_WEBSOCKETS_URL: "ws://49c7-2804-7f2-2a8c-1e1a-501f-7b2a-1d8d-6d97.ngrok.io:9000"

Remember that ngrok is the one that redirects to the port 9000 of your machine so you have to remove it. Try with (changes in bold)

TAIGA_SITES_SCHEME: "http"
TAIGA_SITES_DOMAIN: "49c7-2804-7f2-2a8c-1e1a-501f-7b2a-1d8d-6d97.ngrok.io"

TAIGA_SUBPATH: "" # "" or "/subpath"
