Howdy!

On Wednesday, March 18th, I'll be doing some trail clearing at the community forest with chainsaws between 10 and 2. Please reply here if you'd like to join.

Thank You!

Hi Andrew,
I m planning on coming and could bring a few of my “soil sisters” to help with lighter cleanup .  I can bring Loppers.  I figure the more hands the better.  Let me know if that’s ok and where we are meeting.

HI Andrew!

Looks like we've got at least 6 folks lined up to help you work. Where would you like us to meet you, and is there anything besides our good will, loppers, clippers, gloves, etc that we should plan on bringing along that would be helpful?

thanks! Betsy

Hi Good People! We have a great group lined up for Wednesday - might be 10 of us! We'll meet at the tree planting area (access at 1330 Hwy 27). Given the many hands, maybe we'll have time and person power enough for some of us to do a little work in the tree planting area as well. Bring loppers, gloves, clippers, etc etc etc.
Looking forward to seeing all of you!!
Betsy

Thanks Betsy! With all the people we have coming out we'll need the extra parking space by the tree planting area. I have a few extra hand saws and loppers folks can borrow.

I wish I could make it but we’re in Vermont this week. Best of luck and I’ll make the next one.

We had over a dozen folks show up this cold morning! We sent Andrew and his merry chainsaw gang off to clear trail and 8 of us stayed behind and checked the fence line around the tree planting area. Despite the snow and wind the last couple of months, there was no fence damage and no limbs to remove. We cleared along the outside perimeter to make a clear walking area for future inspections. Andrew's crew cleared about 20 blowdowns on the trail from the pond to the new parking lot. Rockstars!! We'd love to hear a report from the chainsaw gang so please take a moment to tell us how it went!

As a reminder, please log your hours through this link. If you're already registered you can jump down to #4 and complete the volunteer hours form. https://columbialand.org/get-involved/volunteering/

Thanks to everyone for showing up, again.
