Join the Bronx Greenways Ride on Aug. 10!
Join us for a 30-mile bike ride from Van Cortlandt Park to Pelham Bay Park on the East Coast Greenway, Harlem River Greenway and South Bronx Greenway! This must-see tour of existing and future greenways will be led by longtime Bronx greenway champion and 2024 East Coast Greenway Alliance Herz Award honoree Edmundo Martinez, who will share his wealth of knowledge about the Bronx greenways.
The ride is free but registration is required. This is a longer ride intended for more experienced riders who are comfortable riding with traffic on NYC streets. We will keep a casual 10 mph pace. Limited to 40 participants.
Uptown Sinkhole Ride: Join the Alliance and Transportation Alternatives Bronx on Aug. 12 and Uptown for a casual 7-mile ride on the Hudson River Greenway! We will meet at 96th Street and head uptown to Dyckman at a conversational 9 mph pace. This ride is beginner-friendly and a great opportunity to learn about greenway resilience and ongoing efforts to address the sinkhole issues on this section of the Greenway. Register today!
Uptown Fort Washington Greenway: NYC Parks is currently leading a study to identify long-term solutions to the recurrent sinkhole issues on the Hudson River Greenway from 181st Street to Dyckman (known as the Fort Washington Greenway). We love celebrating new sections of greenway, but it's equally important to maintain the beloved sections we have. You can learn more about the project on their website, share your feedback via their survey here in English or here in Spanish, and sign up for project updates by emailing fortwashingto...@gmail.com.

Check out this email from East Coast Greenway Alliance.
They are hosting a Bronx Greenways ride with help from Edmundo Martinez and a few others on August 10th. It is a 30 mile ride that will be 10 mph pace. You should be comfortable riding that pace and that mileage on the streets of the Bronx.
Also on August 12th we are partnering with ECGA to check out the Fort Washington Greenway and talk about the sinkhole.

The link for registration is in newsletter. I've just been sharing the email directly with folks and not posting online since capacity is limited to 40.
