Can the cutters be used on lowest settings to cut out low detail images out of bond paper

Can any of  the laser cutters in the shop be used on lowest settings to cut out low detail images out of bond paper , without starting a fire?

Can the Vinyl (or "cricket") cutter be used to cut out a low detail image, out of standard bond paper?

low power. high speed gave me great success with super fancy scrap-booking paper.  run the automated tests thing.

           What I want to do is 

               "cut" a piece of letter size paper vertically down the middle .... "Yet" leave five equally sized tabs to the left

         I can create an Illustrator image .... 

                   How should I save it ...EPS  3.0?  

                        And how to learn either device  do I pay either of you?

                        I am tending towards the Cricket ... when this works ... I can buy one

I'd recommend PDF if you are using illustrator. Try to ensure the lines are single sided. 

We have a Silhouette cutter, not a Cricket, for to not flexibility in the software.

If you're a paying member of the shop then just come on down when we're open and have some one teach you how to use the device you want to learn.  Membership has it's benefits! :)
