Hey guys

I'm a second year undergraduate student, studying Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bombay. I'm new in these parts, and was going through the Project Ideas page in the SymPy Wiki, and found the Parsing project to be particularly interesting. Can someone fill me in on the details of the project (Involved Software, Difficulty, Prerequisite knowledge)?  What all are we trying to achieve via this project etc? What is the work that has already been done in this, and if possible could you point me to the source code?

Cheers,
Tejas Srinivasan

Tejas,

Here is the parsing source code: https://github.com/sympy/sympy/tree/master/sympy/parsing

We'd like to be able to parse many mathematical languages. LaTeX is a commonly requested one, for example.
