Hello everyone, my name is Julian Antonielli, I'm a Software Engineering student for the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires (ITBA), and a Mathematics student for the University of Buenos Aires (UBA)

I've already covered most of the mathematical background needed to work on this project, and I'm now learning more about symbolic parametrization algorithms, which I think will be one of the most important parts of the project.
I'd love to work on this project, and would like to get some pointers of how to start: I've been browsing through Sympy's source to begin understanding how everything works under the hood, and also look at Prasoon's pr, which was very helpful (https://github.com/sympy/sympy/pull/2208/files). Are there any other resources I should read to get better prepared?

Another question, is it necessary to have a patch submitted when applying for GSOC? I'm not sure I'll have one ready in time.

Thanks all!

Yes, we do require it. The deadline to have the patch submitted is the same as the proposal deadline.

Thanks all!
