Should I Apply

Dear Developers & community,

My name is Hadeel. I am 21, Junior student of Applied Mathematics and Statistics.

I’ve been using python for almost 1 year. I’ve never worked on projects or developing algorithms. I participated in programming contests and used different languages (MATLAB, R, SQL)for data analysis and mathematics. Recently, I’ve got myself familiar with SymPy.

You can consider me as a beginner. However, in the summer I’ll be totally free & I have no other commitments. So I will be totally dedicated for GSoC( if I’m admitted).

Should I proceed and apply? Or is it just not for me? 

I’m sorry if this is not the right place to ask.
