Hey,
I am Shikhar(@Shikhar1998) and I interested in participating in GSOC 2017 with sympy.
I went through the Ideas Page and found the `Series Expansion` module quite interesting.
Below is a rough list I charted based on what I perceived on exploring the Series module
and related PR's.
Series :
1 . Improvements in checking if the series is convergent :
1. Checking convergence of more than 1 variable series.
2. Selectively applying Raebe's Test, Logarithmic Test, Cauchy Root Test
3. Acceleration Methods for Slowly Convergent Sequences
like E - algortithm, Levin's Transformations
Improvements as suggested as on Ideas Page :
2. Step Further in rs_series module (Addition of More Functions to this module)
3 . Improving Performance of Formal Power Series and removing XFAILS
4 . Implementation: `Order` about a point that is not 0
Limits :
1 . Implementation : Limits of HyperGeometric Function
2 . Extension of Limits to Complex as in Maple
3 . Fixing Bugs in Limits
Please correct me if something has been already implemented or is potentially
not required or not included. I would be glad to know if someone is interested in mentoring this project.
And provide some references on how to proceed.
Thanks.
