Hi everyone,

After submitting my application for SymPy, I have been going through the codebase and documentation for a while now.  Before making contributions to the project I decided to prepare a rough draft for the implementation. It is present here.

I  wanted to make sure that I am on the right track and therefore want to get my idea for implementation review. I am open to suggestions from the SymPy community.

Following this, I shall start making contributions to update the docs for the rest of the modules that are not mentioned in the 2020 GSOD Report by Soumi Bardhan.

Thanks

With regards,

Kritika Srivastava

Hi, thank you for your application.

Could you also send a CV and writing samples.

Regarding your application, I think it should focus more on the
documentation organization and less on updating documentation to fit
the style guide. Updating documentation to fit the style guide is in
many ways a separate project.

Hi Aaron,

Thanks for reviewing my idea.

I suppose I need to work towards restructuring the documentation instead of working towards bringing consistency across the docstrings. I will remove the latter from the proposal and will work on the roadmap for the implementation of the Diátaxis documentation system. After updating the draft, I will get it reviewed again.

For application, I have already sent you an email on April 18, 2021. Do I need to send an email again along with the link to this draft proposal?

Here is the link to my resume. All my blogs can be found here. All the written samples are in the form of a readme file of my repositories. Here are some of the links –

1.  Land Stratification using python

2.  Random Password Generator

3.  Drishti

Hi everyone,

I have updated my project implementation proposal on restructuring the SymPy documentation for GSoD 2021. It can be found here. If there are any suggestions, please feel free to mention them here or comment on the shared document.
I am excited to work on this project. Looking forward to work with the SymPy community.

Thanks

Regards,
