Hello,
I am Sahil Aggarwal, Sophomore IIT Delhi, Mathematics and Computing. 
I am new to the open source community. I wish to write a proposal for gsoc 2016. I went through the Ideas list of SymPy and would love to work in "Group Theory". Being a mathematics graduate student, I have a decent background in abstract algebra and I am good at coding in python and c++. I want to know what specifically I need to be good at and what would be expected of me in the proposal.
