Hello everyone,
I am Eeshaan Jain, a sophomore from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay majoring in Electrical Engineering and pursuing a minor in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. My interests lie in calculus, linear algebra and deep learning. I have been using Python for some years now, and have done many "fun" projects such as implementing some SOTA models from papers, exploring data, quantum computing and working on some GUI Projects. I am in no way an expert in python and I am eager to learn more! Besides python, I know some C, C++, Java, Javascript and I know LaTeX very well. I have used GitHub too, but mostly for storing self-projects (the only open-source I have contributed to yet are the open source fests held by IIT Bombay).
I have decent knowledge of calculus, physics and linear algebra. I have done the following courses at IIT Bombay :
1. Calculus and Real Analysis (MA 105)
2. Quantum Physics (PH 107)
3. Linear Algebra (MA 106)
4. Electricity and Magnetism (PH 108)
5. Ordinary Differential Equations (MA 108)
6. Complex Analysis (MA 205)
7. Partial Differential Equations (MA 207)
8. Probability and Stochastic Processes (EE 325)
I have also worked a lot with Fourier Transforms and Boolean algebra. I have gone through lots of books for the courses listed above.
I got introduced to SymPy when I got interested in Quantum Programming last year, and looked over projects related to the same. I had used SymPy there, and along with that explored the different features it had.
I am from Pune, India and can speak English and Hindi fluently. I want to delve deeper into the world of Open Source, and would love to contribute to SymPy. Looking forward to work with you all!
Thank you!
