to sympy
Hello there,
I am Aarya Chaumal, an undergrad student doing Computer Engineering at the College of Engineering Pune, India. Since I live in Mumbai my main languages are English, Hindi, and Marathi. I have done math courses including linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics. My main interest is in Algebra and Differential equations. I haven't gotten the chance to use sympy yet but I am proficient in python and C/C++ languages. My familiarity with symbolic systems is limited to the occasional usage of Maple and Scipy for certain college projects/assignments. While going through your list of GSoC projects I found "Polynomial GCD" and "Solvers" interesting and would like to contribute to those in the summer. For now, I am trying to get familiar with the software for now as well as the source code. Also, I am looking at the issues and trying to solve some of them, currently related to solve and solveset giving nonsensical solutions for exponential equations.

Do tell me if I need to do/learn anything else to start contributing to sympy.

Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards,
Aarya
